Welcome to the home page of the Master « Nanosciences, Nanomaterials and Nanotechnologies ». This master’s degree is proposed by a consortium of three universities : Nantes, Rennes 1 and Bretagne Sud. It is meant for students having a four year university degree (240 ECTS) in Physics, Chemistry or Materials Science.
This master aims to prepare physicists, chemists or engineers to the handling of the concepts on nanophysics, nanosciences instrumentation, and to the professional development of nanomaterials.
The qualities of a consortium :
Nanosciences cover a very large domain of interdisciplinary knowledge and practical experience. The universities of Nantes, Rennes 1 and Bretagne Sud have chosen to bring their competences together in order to build a complete common set of courses (120 h).
A large volume is reserved for professional and practical courses (90 h). They rely on high level equipments installed in laboratories recognized by the Competence center « C’Nano Nord Ouest ». They also rely on the technology platforms of the "CNFM", in particular its antenna at the university of Rennes 1 (CCMO).
These common blocks are completed by specialized courses (80 h) given by teachers involved in top level nanoscience research in the laboratories of the consortium.
